April's ARS (Audlem Ramblers Society) outing this coming Saturday (9th April) is a linear walk for about 10 miles along the North Wales Coastal Path between Conwy and Llanfairfechan.

There is about 1000ft of height gain over the entire length of the walk so anybody with a reasonable level of fitness can manage it. The photograph shows ARS on this walk in 2009.

The route takes us out of Conwy, behind Conwy Mountain, then crosses the Synchant Pass before passing behind Penmaenmawr and finishes at Llanfairfechan. Along the route we come across three stone circles where we normally have lunch. The footpaths are good and there are fabulous views out to sea.

We then travel back to Conwy by train ( don't forget your railcards ) and walk through the town and along the river to reach our starting point.

This is one of ARS's favourite walks, we have done it at least three times in various weather conditions. On our scale of classification I would put it at an easy 3 booter.

Meet at Audlem car-park at 8.30 am
