MERES MEANDER
The first Long ARS of 2024 is on 13th January, and hopefully the weather will be kind to us!
We will meet in Audlem Car Park for a 8.30 a.m. departure.
The Car Park in Ellesmere is on Cross Street Post Code SY12 0AW, and it is a cashless Car Park with a fee of £3.20 for all day parking.
The walk consists of a tow path passing Blake Mere, then Cole Mere, then a lane to Welshampton. We will then cross fields and track to join a woodland path back to Ellesmere.
The walk is fairly flat with no styles, so dog friendly. Walking distance is 9 miles.
NB All walkers must have suitable footwear and be prepared for adverse weather, carry food and water to last for the entire walk and be suitably fit for the various lengths of walk.
Each walk is led by a nominated leader who will carry some first-aid equipment. The leader has the right to refuse to include in a group anyone who is felt not be adequately equipped.
Non-members of Audlem Rambling Society (ARS) are welcome to come on a walk but are expected to join ARS and pay the membership fee after a trial walk or two.
