Chris Roche is leading this walk, his description follows, please note early start 8.00am:-

The ARS walk for June is a 9 mile linear walk on Saturday 10th June on the North Wales Path between Conwy and Llanfairfechan (those in possession of senior rail cards bring them along as we usually catch the train back – as seen in the photo from 2012).

This is an old favourite of ARS and has some great coastal views and we usually lunch around some lovely stone circles.

There is a climb onto the path above Conwy to start the walk up to 500 feet, after 2.5 miles another short climb to 890 feet then a very gentle gradient up to 1300 feet at 6 miles to the stone circles for lunch. We come down quite a steep tarmac road into the village of Llanfairfechan so walking poles maybe helpful for this final stretch. Total 1800 ft (550 metres) of ascent and the walk is a relatively easy 3 booter.

Meet in Audlem car park for 8.00am as we have a 75 mile – 1hr 45mins drive to start the walk.

NB All walkers must have suitable footwear and be prepared for adverse weather, carry food and water to last for the entire walk and be suitably fit for the various lengths of walk.

Each walk is led by a nominated leader who will carry some first-aid equipment. The leader has the right to refuse to include in a group anyone who is felt not be adequately equipped.
