As promised in the Around Audlem newsletter, the APHAx committee is now able to publish a map showing the contractor's compound which will be required during the build phase of the Public Hall Annexe.
The area needed for the compound shown on the accompanying plan will inevitably encroach onto the main car park, but it has been designed to keep the loss of parking spaces to an absolute minimum while the construction of the Annexe is carried out. This is expected to take a period of ten or eleven months, starting in September 2016..
Part of the conditions defined for the contractor selected for the work is that they will restore the car park to a good state when they have finished, and they will try to avoid their staff using the main car park for private vehicles during the work.
APHAx have had to pay for a licence from Cheshire East to use the outlined part of the car park for the compound.
