The long awaited news of an appeal against refusal of planning permission for 26 dwellings off Heathfield Road is going ahead, as first reported on Audlem almost two months ago.

Hockenhull Developments have appealed to the Secretary of State after the refusal of their application to build on the field behind 22 Heathfield Road which was turned down by the Southern Planning Committee of Cheshire East in April.

This application will now be dealt with by a Public Inquiry and a site visit by an inspector from the Planning Inspectorate.

There was an appeal ten years ago for the same piece of land which was refused by the Planning Inspector then.

Those that attended the Gladman Inquiry in May for the appeal against refusal for 120 dwellings at Little Heath will be well aware how much work will now be required of Audlem Parish Council's planning group over the coming months.

You are invited to comment on the appeal, by letter in triplicate, to:
Planning Inspectorate
Temple Quay House
2 The Square
Temple Quay
Bristol
BS1 6PN
quoting reference APP/R0330/A/14/2219291, within 6 weeks of the Appeal Start Date of 12th June 2014 (please note that 3 weeks have already passed despite letters advising about the appeal only being dated a few days ago!)

Representations received after the deadline of 24th July will not normally be seen by the Inspector and will be returned. Copies of all letters will be sent to the Appellant (that is Hockenhull Developments and Cheshire East Borough Council.)

Any comments already made on this application for planning (unless expressly confidential) will also be forwarded to the Planning Inspectorate ands copied to the Appellant and will be taken into account in deciding the appeal.

With the earlier Gladman appeal, Audlem Parish Council asked that all comments are forwarded to them so that they could co-ordinate the responses – we assume that will apply again. More on this shortly.

A copy of Hockenhull Development's grounds of appeal is now available to view online at www.cheshireeast.gov.uk/planning or at any office of the Council which has internet viewing facilities for the public.
