Another extraordinary meeting

Our Parish Councillors are working hard to be able to present a tender to purchase the Land at Green Lane,

This action was comprehensively endorsed by a show of hands at a Public meeting last week, and we understand it was in general supported by the survey forms that were sent in following that meeting.

Now having had one Extraordinary Meeting to discuss the tender among themselves (see here for the minutes of that meeting), the Parish Council meet again this evening for another Extraordinary Meeting to finalise the tender to be submitted.

The agenda for tonight's meeting has the usual items at the start – public forum; apologies; declaration of interests and confirmation of minutes. Then the public will be excluded for obvious commercial reasons while councillors discuss and decide the level of bid to be submitted.

If the bid succeeds this will be an important acquisition for the village, whatever the community decides to do with it subsequently.
