Another very successful annual Village Meeting took place on Wednesday night in the Public Hall.
Over 80 people attended, some arriving before the scheduled start time, possibly enticed by the delicious refreshments which had been sourced through local traders.
The main topic was the Neighbourhood Plan; the original policies together with the amendments recommended by the Independent Examiner were available for review, together with some of the Examiner's comments and copies of the final version of the Plan.
A large map of the Parish drawn up by John Stead again created a lot of interest and discussion.
Information was also available about the risk to Parish Paths not yet included on the Definitive Map when a change in the law is implemented in 2026.
Residents were also able to speak to our PC Sarah Marson and PCSO Nick Jarvis and find out more about a DNA marker from Nick Roach of Selectamark to help track items stolen from farmyards, houses and gardens.
A reminder that the referendum on the Neighbourhood Plan is on Thursday March 24th from 7.00am to 10.00pm in the Public Hall. All residents of Audlem Parish should now have received voting cards or postal voting papers if they have requested them.
