Audlem Parish Council

...would like to thank all those who came along to the social get together yesterday and took part in the Annual Village Meeting. Around 70 people attended this year and enjoyed an evening of socialising and refreshments, the village hall was full of chatter and laughter with the occasional cluck being heard from ADAPT's lovely hen.

The new Chairman of the Parish Council, Steve Boyes, welcomed everybody and provided a short update of what has been accomplished since last year and the progress made so far with Turnpike Field.

Many Parish Councillors were also in attendance engaging with villagers on parish affairs and concerns and listening to views, ideas and feedback.

We are most grateful to the community groups and committees that also came along and showcased information on their activities and work. These were:

  • ADAPT
  • ADAS
  • ADCA
  • Audlem Fire Station
  • Audlem Information Point
  • Audlem Lass Boat Service
  • Canal and River Trust
  • Cheshire Police
  • Community First Responders
  • Community Gym
  • History Society
  • Overwater Wheelyboat Services
  • St. James Church

We would also like to thank Geoff Stretch for all his help in setting up the event and for always helping with a smile on his face.

Audlem Information Point is looking for more volunteers to help run this new initiative which aims to provide a central location where visitors can obtain information on local shops, events, clubs, services, entertainment and attractions. There will be a leaflet distribution point and an interactive screen to provide up-to-date information commencing in time for the Audlem Music Festival If you can spare some time to help run it going forward please contact Campbell Ward (01270 812430 campbell.ward@btinternet.com) or Carol Keeley (07772 578380 carolkeeley@hotmail.co.uk).

If you were unable to attend the village meeting and wish to provide the Parish Council with any ideas, views or feedback you may have then please feel free to drop us a line on audlempc@gmail.com
