We all know that Audlem is a fantastic village and the great spirit and community in the village is down to all the people of Audlem.
The Audlem Lives project will be spending the next 12 months capturing the vibrancy and diversity of leisure, events, organizations, work and sporting activities that take place in and around the village throughout the coming year.
Through photographs, video clips, paintings, sketches, poetry, songs and other art forms, an exhibition in 2011 will celebrate Audlem Lives throughout the year, featuring the people of Audlem at work, rest and play.
The project is being co-ordinated by a small team who will be getting around the village over the next 12 months, visiting organisations and events to capture the goings on (with all the appropriate permissions, of course).
We will also be happy to consider contributions from anyone who is interested. As well as the exhibition in 2011, we'll be building up a gallery of contributions on Facebook to show off photos throughout the year. The exhibition next year will feature a selection of the best photos plus the other media.
We look forward to working with all the village organizations, events and businesses and will be in touch with each in the very near future to discuss ways to capture them at their best.
Anyone interested in more information or submitting contributions should contact Alan Duncan through the Audlem Lives email address firstname.lastname@example.org">email@example.com or through the Audlem Lives Facebook page.
