Regular readers will be aware of serious concerns which have been raised about ambulance response times to emergency 999 calls in Audlem. The topic has been discussed at several Parish Council meetings and was the subject of a public meeting held on 7th June 2007 which was attended by our MP, Stephen O'Brien. (To pull up previous news stories on this topic just click on the "news" tab and type "ambulance response times" or "accident" in the search box.)

The problems still haven't gone away however, and while the NW Ambulance Service has now provided the Parish Council with some statistics on actual response times over the last few months, serious questions still remain about the service this outlying area receives. Some of the statistics need clarification too and we are pleased to confirm that Mr Bob McGowan, a representative of the NW Ambulance Service, will be present to answer questions on these issues from Parish Council members at the meeting to be held on Monday, 7th January at 7.30 pm at St James' Primary School.

Members of the public are, of course, entitled to comment on any item on the agenda before ordinary business commences, under the Public Forum part of the meeting. They can then stay and listen to the rest of the meeting should they wish.
