All change at chip shop

It's the end of an era for many fish & chip enthusiasts as Janet calls an end to her frying career at Just The Plaice Too in Cheshire Street on Wednesday 18th August.

Janet has been running the business for the past nine years and has decided to move on. We are told by the owners of the premises, Olive & Geoff Stretch, that it is planned there will be new operators running the business very soon.

As Janet has said on a notice affixed to the shop wall, she apologises for all the insults that have been traded over the years, insults which, it has to be said, have been well and truly returned with interest by some regular customers!

The notice adds that farewell gifts will, of course, be gratefully accepted!

We are sure all customers will join Audlem Online in thanking Janet and her team for the excellent fish & chips that have been served up over the years and wish them well for the future.

We hope to have confirmed news of the new operators as soon as possible.
