ADCA Launches Dementia Support Club

ADCA's Audlem Thursday Club

It's Dementia Action Week, and this coming Thursday 19 May 2022 Audlem & District Community Action (ADCA) opens the doors of its first ever support club specifically for people living with dementia! This friendly social support club is for people who are either experiencing dementia directly themselves, or caring for someone who is.

Our call for Thursday People volunteers to help us with this project has brought us some very promising candidates (thank you to everyone who has come forward so far!).

They have already begun their induction to the joys of being an ADCA volunteer and are receiving training in safely supporting people facing the challenge of dementia while in a welcoming social environment.

Club sessions will be led by Laura Stevenson, ADCA's Carers Support Worker.
