ADAS Volunteer dates

Possibly more exciting than an ADAS Sunday morning clean-up is the sight of a ladybird larvae sharing our summer flowers and colours; delightful! And yes, we really did do a hands-and-knees clean-up of the paving. Also given a make-over was the ginnel alongside Boots.

We're putting out a call for volunteers over the next few weeks to assist in making the village worthy of our second GOLD. Judging for North West in Bloom is on 12 July -- no pressure! Dates we would love to see you with spade/brush in hand are:

• Wed 19 Jun at 1830 to 2000hrs (meet at the main car park)
• Sat / Sun 22 & 23 June is Open Gardens weekend -- so we get a weekend off!
• Thu 27 Jun at 1830 to 2000hrs (meet at the Butter Market)
• Sun 30 Jun at 1000 to 1200hrs (meet at the Butter Market)
• Wed 03 Jul at 1830 to 2000hrs (meet at the Butter Market)
• Sun 07 Jul at 1000 to 1200hrs (meet at the Butter Market)
• Wed 10 Jul at 1830 to 2000hrs (meet at the Butter Market)

Usual tools for the work include wheelbarrows, shovels, brushes and hand trowels/forks, as well as rubbish bags.
