The ADAPTability event today in Audlem (Saturday 2nd October) runs from 10.00am – 3.00pm at the Methodist Church Hall. The exhibition will feature local products, encourage local shopping, growing food locally and energy saving and small-scale production.

Two free workshops will tell you what you need to know about Generating Renewable Electricity and the new Feed-In Tariffs. The 45 minute workshops will be led by local expert Alan Draper.

Generating Renewable Electricity will start at 10.30am and Heat from Renewable Sources at 2.15pm. Contact Susan on 811092 to reserve a place.

ADAPTability will offer lots of information and advice on becoming that little bit more green. And you can pick up some free eco-equipment to use in your home.

One of the aims of ADAPTability is to encourage local shopping. Audlem Online, as part of this event has running a series of articles this week on Audlem's local shops.

The village has seen a remarkable retail expansion in the past year with eight new shops. And this at a time when so many villages and market towns have been struggling with many shops closing down.

There will be activities for all the family, so do drop into the Methodist Church Hall between 10.00am and 3.00pm on Saturday 2nd October. Entry is free to ADAPTability.
