The August meeting of ADAPT (Audlem & District Acting Positively for Transition) took place last Wednesday evening.

ADAPT is a new group which supports initiatives to create a sustainable and resilient community for the future. There are five working parties within the group who concern themselves with Energy, Local Food, Transport, Local shops and Services and Communication.

The group is hard at work planning ADAPTability – a major event which will showcase the skills and interests of the members and the wider community. This will take place on Saturday 2nd October and should be of interest to all.

A full programme will be available shortly so if you would like to find out more about growing your own food, keeping chickens , saving energy (and money!) etc. etc. this is the event for you.

The next ADAPT meeting will take place on Wednesday 1st September at 7.30 at the Baptist church and everyone is very welcome to attend. For more information please contact Susan on 811092.
