ADAPT Saturday Market. Saturday 30th. August Lord Combermere Carpark.

What a busy week last weeks market was. We were overwhelmed with supplies of tomatoes, plums of all shapes and sizes and the first of this years damsons, not forgetting the early apple harvest. This week will be similar but as waste is not in our vocabulary, some of that excess produce has been turned into jams, jellies, and chutneys.

The market will be on as usual but other ADAPT members will be preparing for their contribution to the Audlem Fete which starts after our market has finished.- so another busy week in the community. There will be an apple theme for the Fete, where very freshly pressed apple juice will be there for the tasting. Come along and try some.

On the market this week will be french and runner beans, tomatoes, courgettes, plums, black berries. There will be An early batch of crab apple jelly, Pear and blackberry jam, Victoria plum jam, Redcurrant jelly.

Cakes will be:Maderia cake, Victoria sandwich, Fruit cake,Lime and blackberry.

There will be our free range eggs, apple juices and local honey as well.

10am till noon at The Lord Combermere Car Park.
