Pheasant Burgers

As the Shooting season for Pheasants draws to a close on February 1st, there is still time to try this recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb minced pheasant meat
  • 7 oz sausage meat
  • 1 onion, chopped fine
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley, chives and thyme
  • 1 tbsp Rosemary and sage
  • 2 tbsp tomato puree
  • Salt/black pepper
  • Flour for dusting
  • Oil for frying

Method

Mix all ingredients well together and form into burger shapes. (You will need to flour your hands for this). Makes approximately 6 burgers, depending on how big you like them!
Heat oil in frying pan and fry burgers approx. 10 minutes each side until cooked. Serve in a bun with salad and relish/ketchup as desired.
