ADAPT market on Saturday

Saturday 27th April

ADAPT SATURDAY MARKET held on Saturday morning between 10.00 and 12.00 in the car park of The Lord Combermere. Support local enterprise, local people, local gardens and fresh seasonal local plants and produce. Come early and get the pick of the crop.

What a good start to the season last week's market was, the weather was great, the sky stayed blue all day! Plenty of plants, plenty produce and plenty of people. There should be just as much this week, although the weather may not be as kind. A cornucopia of plants to grow on in your own gardens. Tomatoes, herbs, lettuce, Cabbage, sprouts, currents and strawberries to start off with. That should get the veg plot started. Lots of flower plants will be on show to get the flower beds looking colourful.

The honey man may have a jar or two of honey, the bees have started working pollinating, so it won't be long before this seasons honey will appear on the stall. Lots of lovely eggs with the yellowest yolks. If our intrepid gardeners can get out between showers there will be seasonal produce and flowers. Come along and find out what there is, its always worth a look. If you have any empty small jars the sort you get moisturiser in we need those as well.

ADAPT Food Group meet once a month to eat cake and a discussion on food and gardening, we organise trip to gardens the next one is to Abbey Wood. If you would like to join us just have a chat to anyone at the stall and you can get details. It's fun and you don't even need a garden.

Thank you to everyone who has read my thoughts and wonderings over the last couple of years, I have enjoyed writing them and I hope you have enjoyed reading them.
