Bring along your apples and Pears

With this topsy turvey climatic year, our apples have ripened a bit early, So we are "Apple Pressing" now. This is to be held under the Buttermarket this Saturday 9th Octoberand next Saturday 16th Octoberstarting at 10.30am last pressing at 2:30ish.

Great Childrens' experience

We have held this event for several years, a great Audlem facility so don't forget to bring your Apples and Pears along and turn them into lovely juice.

If you have managed to cut and freeze your apples don't forget to defrost them before you come. Freezing apples helps to release the juice and in most cases you get more. Don't worry if you haven't frozen your apples or Pears, any apples will do, cooking, eating, windfalls or picked from the tree, just bring them along "washed" and get them juiced.

They will get cut, crushed and pressed, you get to help with the process if you want or just watch the juice flow from your fruit.

Bottles

Don't forget to bring lots of bottles along to put the juice into.
Bring more than you think!

ADAPT Market!!!

We can't be in 2 places at the same time, so any excess produce we have left for our Saturday Food Market, (Eggs, Jam, Onions, Etc) will be on a side table this Saturday and next, at the iconic Buttermarket---Just as villagers have used this place freely since it was refurbished in 1733.

Note that the Buttermarket is aptly named as it is the coldest windiest place in the village centre, positioned in order to keep the dairy produce in tip top condition for sale.

Bring that extra layer of clothes if you linger a while.!!!!

We hope to see lots of fully clothed visitors with apples to press.

Cheers
