Accolade for local florist

As reported in this week's Nantwich Chronicle, Sue Poole has been awarded with a world-class qualification for floristry.

Sue runs The Flower Company in Audlem which specialises in tailored designs for weddings, funerals and corporate events and employs three former Reaseheath students.

She is also a floral design lecturer at Reasheath College and is now one of only 18 international florists to hold the Wally Klett Wedding Diploma. This Level 5-plus qualification is recognised throughout the industry as being one of the highest level qualifications possible.

Wally Klett is a German master florist who is internationally renowned for her meticulous styled designs and high standards. To achieve her qualification Sue had to complete a nine-month block release course and study the theory of design before sitting a two-day exam.

Sue said: "It was a very tough exam which reqiured in-depth theoretical knowledge, followed by the creation of designs with a lot of intricate work.

"I was absolutely thrilled to achieve the qualification. It's a fantastic accolade for Reaseheath and I'm very grateful to the college for supporting me throughout the training."
