There was a traffic accident this morning at Hankelow village on the Audlem to Nantwich road.
The accident happened in rush hour traffic at about 8.30am today. It is not yet known if there were any serious injuries.
At least three vehicles were thought to be involved in a pile-up at the junction of the A529 Audlem Road and Longhill Lane, just outside the Hankelow Cottage Indian restaurant.
Fire, police and ambulance crews were all attending the scene and, at one stage, early morning traffic was diverted around the village green and along Hall Lane, in Hankelow, away from the accident site.
