A500 road Closures

Overnight closures of A500 between A531/B5472 (Meremoor Moss) roundabout and M6 Junction 16

Overnight road closures are in place from 7:30pm -- 5:30am, seven days-a-week,until Saturday 30 November, between A531/B5472 and M6 J16.

If additional surveys are needed, the road will continue to be closed from 9:30pm-5:30am seven days-a-week, from Sunday 1 December until Friday 13 December.

The closures are in place to enable Cheshire East Council's contractors, Balfour Beatty to conduct a series of surveys in the area, which will inform the detailed design stage of the A500 dualling project.

The surveys include ground investigations, drainage, topographical and environmental surveys. The design team will be working with local landowners to minimise disruption during these activities.

Drivers are advised to plan ahead for their journey during this closure.
