Fairy Tales

When I was a little girl I believed in fairies
I believed they weren't just
At the bottom of our garden.
They were all around me
Being my friends.
I could not see them
I could not hear them
But I know they were with me
Always somewhere.
I even had names for my Friday "Friends"
Sunbeam, Rainbow, Silver Wings, Gliiter Shirley, Maybelle, Daisy and Trixie!
Now I have a real family of friends
Grown up friends, of course!
Because I am an OAP
These friends of mine
Keep me bright and cheerful.
We forget we are old,
Forget to moan because
We are looked after
Cared for and listened to
By the ADCA team
Happy days
