Audlem Parish Council has received and invitation from Dark Olive, the Creative Producers for Cheshire East Reflects – a project to commemorate the First World War – which may be of interest to a number of societies within the Village.

Dark Olive are currently developing a large scale arts and community participation event, which will take place over the 2018 armistice weekend.

Although the events will take place early evening at Crewe (Sat 10 Nov) and Tatton Park (Sunday 11 Nov), it is intended that the project will engage the wider Cheshire East community.

As part of the research for the project, the producers are looking into potential opportunities to connect with groups and individuals from each CE Parish as well as gaining an overview of other WWI commemorative projects and events taking place across the county.

Dark Olive would like to hear from any groups or individuals who could offer any assistance in identifying WWI commemorative works that have already taken place in Audlem as well as those planned for the coming year.

The coordinator for the project is Amber Knipe who can be contacted at amber@darkolive.co.uk or telephone 07813 664946.
