10,000th article on AudlemOnline

AudlemOnline has just published its 10,000th news article. Indeed, there have been so many stories in the past week we almost missed this auspicious landmark which appeared earlier in the week.

When the webteam started AudlemOnline in August 2005, the ambitious aim was to publish at least one article a day, every day of the year. That's been achieved with, so far, not a single day missed.

Analysing the figures shows that on average we've published 3.27 stories each day since our first ever article which was published at 8:58am on 28th July 2005 (in preparation for the August launch).

Occasionally, we have been getting over a dozen news stories a day which just goes to show how much is going on in the village and surrounding area. We couldn't quite manage that number this morning, hence this boring filler which is probably only of interest to the webteam itself.

It is, however, an ideal opportunity to thank all our contributors and those that make things happen locally and therefore create the news we are very happy to publish.
