There have been some recent comments on AOL Chatbox about the new Cheshire East Web Site & how the funds used on this could have potentially been used to solve the Swanbach flooding issue.

I would like to draw everyone's attention that in the Councils Budget Engagement Consultation Document which we are all invited to comment on before 4th Jan 2022, see link here

The Council are proposing to spend a further £110,000 in 2022/23 on the "Digital Customer Experience" and are inviting all council tax payers to agree or disagree with this

I would like to suggest that all people who are affected by the flooding at Swanbach and want the council to do something about it should respond to their proposed spend on the Digital Experience by rejecting it & in the comments section request that the money is instead spent on solving the ongoing issue of the A529 flooding at Swanbach.

Just to refresh everyone's memory here was the scene today, just imagine being a stranger to the area & coming upon this in the dark complete with the damaged road surface!!

Rachel, Norman & I all met on site this morning to discuss how to progress & we are all agreed that one thing we need to keep doing is to keep publicising in the hope we shame the council into some action.
Best regards
Chris Spring
