Our party had a great night at the inaugural Bridge quiz night last night, a great atmosphere, lovely and plentiful food, a £30 1st prize for the best quizzers, and a £30 raffle prize, and all this was included for the cost of £1 per head (inc a raffle ticket each) well done to everyone involved and see you at the next one.
I know of 2 art groups both meet in the Scout and Guide hall, one on a Wed morning mainly watercolour and one fortnightly on Friday 1pm to 3pm more varied media and projects. This Friday there will be a stand in for Christine Johnson the leader but I am sure you will be welcome to visit.

Does anyone know what and for how long the main road to Market Drayton is closed.
I almost dread reading AOL as I am at the age where I know many of the people who have died.
I didn't know Sheila personally but have some of her canal prints which I love, particularly the more impressionist ones.
Great but, it's not the first time Audlem has been mentioned on Radio 2. ;-)
Glad to see our youngest was well enough today to contact Chatbox. We all miss them.
Thanks Billy- either drop me an email (brettentim@gmail.com) or I have put a post on Items wanted with my phone number on (07870 555902)
You weren't in China in 1972 were you?
What a lovely story with a very poignant message for the people of Audlem
"things that may have been lost today will possibly appear again eventually"

It has to be bad when Audlem makes it on the Radio 2 travel news – Green lane closed due to flooding
I'm in the other side of the world these days and so great to get echoes of audlem from the site. The turnpike path is looking great and I can see in my minds eye exactly where that is. Also enjoyed the piece about a degree being awarded many years later, what a lovely moment.
Hello Tim. I may be able to help. Can't give my number on here but you can contact me through whatever channel AOL deem safe.
Thanks.
Does anyone have a ménage for hire? Happy to pay and also level after use. I'm in longhill lane so just outside the village. Many thanks
Hi
I am looking for a driver to do some local driving – Hankelow to Buerton, Audlem to Buerton etc
If anybody is looking for some part time driving work for a reasonable price to make it worthwhile.
Thanks Tim
Hi, my friend needs a cleaner. Could you ring her on 07884 211910 please
Thanks
There were many Audlem and district residents who sent objections earlier this year to Planning Application 22/0111N involving the creation of large track across open country entering the A529 at Corbrook. They will be pleased to know that the landowner withdrew his application on 26 October, following Enforcement Action by Cheshire East and the loss of an Appeal by the landowner. We can thank our Planning Enforcement Team for their actions. The track so far created should be returned to its former state.
Hello. I am looking for some large wool blankets for my dog beds. please give me a call Sue 07766201027
Thank you
As of sunday evening it seems BT are having issues with speed ( this will affect all cable to the property b/band companies as they use Openreach) . Mine dropped down to 20Mb from 150 but if you reboot the router ( or power it down and power back up ) speed increased to 95Mb. Lets hope they fix it overnight.
What a thoroughly interesting read.
However as a relative 'Audlem newbie' I am perplexed as to why such succesful business people, are not snapped up by the Parish Council.
Their insight and experience would surely have prevented the disfunctional PC practices of late last year/early this.
I must say that my concerns with the comments on Facebook also apply to the people who work so hard with this fantastic page. The abuse the members of the AOL team have also been receiving is disgusting
Also if you get on your Facebook page you can easily remove comments if the issue is that AOL can not gain access and run the Facebook page properly then maybe they should not have a Facebook page. It's a definite worry that not only are people who have done nothing being targeted in this witch hunt but these comments on Facebook could very easily effect any future court case regarding what's happened recently
If you are not able to properly control the comments on a post then it should be removed it's a very simple process. Something must be done to stop these vile comments towards people until we know the full facts about things
