Loved the show tonight. Congrats to everyone involved. Great fun. If the rest of the run goes half as well folks are in for a treat.

Deborah Healey on Doggie doos

2nd February 2023 @ 7:45pm

Well as a dog owner I am happy to pick up my dogs doggie doos and then put it in the required bin.
However, you secret dog poo people that do not think that they have to do that ......I am watching you!
Be afraid ...be very afraid!
I am taking pictures of your activities!
How dare you act so irresponsibly!? why do you think that it is okay to hang your doggie poo in the trees and hedges along the walks in AUDLEM.
Your arrogance is unbelievable !
I have some evidence already,
,love taking pictures of doggy doos hanging in trees etc (Not really,I think you are disgusting.)
And...more than that you are in the village, you enjoy all the things that we do in this lovely village.
YOU are spoiling all our attempts at making this a wonderful place to live!

Jody Morgan on Ferraro Rocher

Hi, the Guides collect these amongst lots of other things like bread wrappers, empty toothpaste packaging, cheese wrappers etc. There are collection boxes outside the Scout and Guide Hall on Cheshire Street.

Lesley Dale-Lace on Field Spreading

2nd February 2023 @ 3:33pm

I have just been walking along the bridleway between Bunsley Bank & Longhill Lane. There was a tractor spreading in the field next to it. I was engulfed in thick grey dust that covered my clothes. It was so dense that I couldn't see to the end of the bridleway, although I was near the end. It was absolutely choking. I appreciate that farmers need to spread and I 'm not complaining about that. My questions are, what is it? I'm assuming it was lime. Is it harmful?

Does anyone know of anyway of recycling FRocher boxes? I have a feeling that I read on here that someone was collecting them a while ago

Hi Marilyn,
We look forward to welcoming you to the hall for the show!
There is a fully stocked bar for all your drink and snack requirements. We have a strict NO NUTS policy, and our bar is stocked appropriately.
When you're in your seats, you'll find that the bar is "behind you!"

Marilyn Paxton on Hansel & Gretel

Hello, this may seem a strange question, but not when you are organising nibbles and drinks! :-)
Could anybody advise if it will be seating only for the Panto, or are there tables as well?
Look forward to receiving your help, oh yes I am!

I would see this as a doubling of opportunities to support local events and charities.

Bob McClintock on Police Band versus Quiz

A clash of dates for 2 worthy causes in 25 th of March . Seems to bo a bit of an oversight by the organisers

Another recommendation for Audlem Dry Cleaners – and not just for curtains. Fabulous service to have in the village.

Gary Suggate on Lime Render contractor?

31st January 2023 @ 1:41pm

Hi, My son has a solid brick house that needs the failed render replacing. We would rather use a traditional lime render to maintain breathability and not make it damp again, but are struggling to find anyone that does it!

Any suggestions? House is an end terrace in Willaston.
Thanks Gary

An amusing item but possibly unwise to give Cheshire East Highways ideas?

Peter Silvester on PAT testing.

I thoroughly recommend Mark Clay, who has done our PAT testing at Audlem Mill for several years. Much better prices than most people. Find him on 07776 346807, or mcpattests@outlook.com.

D Sandom on Cat owners BEWARE around Broadways/Hilary Drive/Cotton Mews/Eaton Way

29th January 2023 @ 6:54pm

Hi folks,
If you are a cat owner in or around the above area, please be vigilant.
I saw a neighbour throw something over my fence earlier... as it was going dark. On first glance I just assumed it was one of my white stones, as occasionally they do venture under the fence. However, just ten minutes later I saw a kitty licking said stone... and on closer inspection it turned out to be an unhealthy looking piece of chicken, very raw in the middle!
Anyway, if you own a cat then please do be vigilant and keep a look out for the idiot (raw/ gone off) meat thrower! AND, if you see any meat/chicken in the alleyways or the street, please pop it in a bin... let's try and keep all the little puddings safe!

Nigel Young on Leighton Hospital

28th January 2023 @ 1:33pm

Rumour has it that Middlewich Road, Nantwich to Leighton, will re-open 13th February 2023!! Fingers Crossed.

Robert Edwards on Leighton Hospital route

28th January 2023 @ 12:30pm

Took my wife there last week..

Going. Audlem to Reese Heath – Church Minshull- Right past Badger into Church Lane, Right into Eardswick Lane to lights, Right to road block, ( one way) left down to main entrance... (dropped wife off and headed for Minshull's, just got into the car park and she rang to say she was ready for collection...)

Return, Left out of Main Entrance, huge queue at the roundabout for Flowers Lane during the week 20 minutes to the lights, so choice either straight on Bradfield Road heading for Sydney ( no Opera House in sight) or Right into Minshull Hall Road crossing roundabout past Pymms Lane to end, Right into West Street to Marshfield roundabout and back to civilisation.
During the weekends cars are parked down both sides of Minshull Hall Road...nightmare.
Another wonderful example of Cheshire East's planning ability.
