Have reported to Cheshire East Highways + again the increasing pot hole on the pavement by the canal bridge.
Rumour has it the Audlem Lass is to be used as a ferry to help those on foot crossing the flood. Is this likely to be a permanent solution along with its normal duties?
I can highly recommend Mill House Podiatry in Nantwich. Mill House, Queen's Dr, Nantwich CW5 5BX – 01270 910535

Just found out that empty plastic tubs e.g Quality street, Roses, Jacobs crackers etc can be recycled at Greene King pubs. I think our closest one is the Gingerbread Man. I'm not sure if Cheshire East take them for curbside recycling so this is a good alternative
Does anyone have a recommendation for a podiatrist local to Audlem? Thanks in advance!
There is a local trainer who helps out at the Audlem Gym. Matthew on 07704708487

Hi I'm interested to know if there is a slimming world group in Audlem village hall. Not only would I like to loose a few pounds but meet and make new friends thanks ''
Regarding the footpath between Pool House and Bridge 73. The majority of this country is at present waterlogged, due to the near constant rain we have been experiencing since late September. Clearly, the ground cannot absorb any more water and where there are buildings and differences in ground level, there is always "run-off" which will find it's own level. To describe it as a "slurry pit"", is a bit over stated. Please remember that people in the countryside do not have the benefits of urban drainage and Tarmac outside their homes and the real purpose of countryside is to grow crops, rear livestock and feed the nation.
Hi – can anyone recommend or know of a personal trainer based in audlem ? Thanks Shelley
Does anyone know of anyone who offers an ironing service in or near audlem please ? I've tried the one listed on audlem online and she's full ?
Thanks Dave for the information. I did warn the Shropshire footpaths office that this spot could be a problem but I did not realise then how bad it could get. I will send your report and the really impressive pictures to them straight away. Unfortunately I suspect that there are many other paths in Shropshire in a similar condition at the moment and you will understand that in Adderley not everybody is displeased that the path is currently unusable.

We'v sustained some minor storm damage (fascias and soffits) during the recent strong winds. Can anyone recommend a reliable local firm to undertak roof repairs.
Can anyone recommend plumber to repair my toilet. It will not flush. I think it needs a new diaphragm fitted.
Is there anywhere locally that does stretching of an (already painted) oil canvas onto a wooden frame?
Pete has just popped to see Ralph, one of the staff said " He has had more cards than all the other residents put together".
I am sure he and they will know how much we all appreciated his service and input into village activities. We certainly appreciated his deliveries to us from the Combermere during Covid.
I'm hoping to find a book club in the village, I believe there is one which meets on the last Thursday of the month. Unfortunately the phone number I took down is not right so I can't get in touch!
Re. the Editors' comments in today's AOL on "Managing the Buy/Sell section", I'd just like to say that it's so easy to enjoy AOL daily and take it for granted that fresh articles just appear each day. But the Editors still have to be on the ball and keep tabs on everything. So, on behalf of all of us who, before anything else in the morning, have a quick glance at AOL to keep in touch with what's going on locally, may I thank the editors for their hard work and their dedication in keeping up the standards and principles that Bob Cartwright set when he first proposed the Audlem website.
Thank you and a Merry Christmas to you all.
I came through end of November and the road to woore was closed . Please could you tell me if this road is now open . I'm travelling Xmas eve .

Just to let you know that I have received a reply from the PCC Mr John Dwyer who has forwarded my letter onto the Chief Constable's office who retains primacy for operational matters such as this. An assessment of my request can then be made and a response provided subject to any 'operational sensitivities'. I thank Mr Dwyer for his response. I have also received a reply from our MP. "Mr. Timpson has requested a status update of the police investigation you reference and an indication of timescales for its conclusion. Further enquiries have also been made with the Monitoring Officer at Cheshire East."
Is there an enterprising soul in the community who would care to open a book on which hole gets filled first; the 'Green Lane watercourse' or the 'parish council funds diversion.' Happy Christmas, but which one!
