Bruce Mantle on semi-naked man

2nd October 2023 @ 2:21pm

Brian Scanlon's post had not been published when I submitted mine.
Judley Mason makes a valid point.
I apologise for making light of this incident.

Graham Taylor on semi-naked man

2nd October 2023 @ 8:04am

I think it is time to cease this thread. Making fun of people and speculation around mental health, drunkenness and offences against the person is never helpful.

Judley Mason on semi-naked man

1st October 2023 @ 8:46pm

Neither any of your posters nor the police should assume that the man was drunk or mentally afflicted. Male-on-male rape does exist.

Could it have been the "naked rambler"? if memory serves me right he passed near Audlem some years ago lol

Bruce Mantle on Rumpus in Village

1st October 2023 @ 6:56pm

I assume that drink and/or drugs might have been involved.

Possibly not the best time for a naked protest if the man wanted press.....er..... coverage.

Nick Smith on Golf playing parter/s

Are there any Onneley club members who would like an additional playing partner, to play weekdays. I have been a member for the last 3 years and have now lost my playing partner.

Christopher Lewis on Garden Waste changes

1st October 2023 @ 5:14pm

I resent Cheshire Easts cotention that I will need to suscribe to have my garden waste bin emtied. To me a subscription is for a service I voluntary require,. In this case CE should be honest and refer to th £74 as a charge to empty the bin. But of course politicians always try and hide behind the weasel words.

It's obviously not the first time something like this has happened as the singer Ray Stephens explained , they called him the streaker!

Hello everyone, this is your action AOL news reporter
With all the news that is news
Across the nation
On the scene at the supermarket
There seems to have been some disturbance here
Pardon me, sir, did you see what happened?
Yeah, I did
I's standin' over there by the tomaters
And here he come
Running through the pole beans
Through the fruits and vegetables
Nekkid as a jay bird
And I hollered over t' Ethel
I said, "Don't look, Ethel!"
But it's too late
She'd already been incensed

Brian scanlon on Serious incident 7am today

1st October 2023 @ 2:17pm

As I collected my paper around 7am I witnessed the incident. Two police cars were in attendance. A semi naked man was clearly extremely distressed shouting "rape" and advising the officers not to touch him. Sadly the man was clearly either under the influence of "substance's " or suffering from a mental health issue. The officers were making efforts to subdue the man and it was obviously a very difficult matter for them to manage.

Regarding the naked man; the Webteam wrote "Unfortunately we have no photograph of the incident". Shouldn't that have read "Fortunately we have no photograph of the incident"? ;-0

Christopher Lewis on Covid 19 Booster Vaccination

29th September 2023 @ 9:30pm

Good to hear there will be facilities in Audlem for booster Covid vaccinations. But a word of warning at the last session for spring boosters they had run out of vaccine well before the official end of the advertised time. So my advice is if you intend to use the walk in facilities go early.
