Thank you
Hi,
We came across two people sneaking around at about 22:15 this evening. They scurried when we saw them. Spineless and no dog with them.
If it is a local then let us know.
Cowardly foiks.
If you have a problem with this post then come and see me. I am sick of this sort of behaviour and will stop it.
If I am wrong then contact me.
(Apologies for the repost, I didn't put any contact info on! Massively appreciate the suggestion so far)
Hello there, my names Charlie and I'm a dog walker whose been functioning in the area for the last few years.
I'm currently looking to rent short term in the area beginning at the start of October til the end of the year. I have a well behaved dog who doesn't bark and she comes out with me everyday as I work so she wouldn't be left in the property alone.
I have a limited budget, thanks to covid, but I don't need much space to get by.
Any suggestions would be massively appreciated and I hope to hear from anyone soon.

A friend is looking for a home for his cat. Unfortunately she is a victim of divorce and for various reasons neither party can look after her. She is 17, very clean and pleasant to have. No vices. She would come with an insurance policy with local vets to cover vaccines, worming etc. And any other vets fees would be paid by her owner. Could anyone help? Thanks

Agreed , Ant is a great postie, we did hear that it was their union that had requested staff move around to balance out workload . We will miss seeing him around the village. We are happy to contribute. Dave and Moira Stanistreet.

Hi Shona,
The one network site says it will last until midnight tomorrow (13th).
BUT.....
Nothing happened today regarding reinstating the surface so it's anyone's guess as usual.
I'll send you a screenshot ...
Nigel.
It really saddened me today When Ant informed me he will be leaving Audlem by the 26th August
He has always gone above and beyond , he couldn't have been more helpful .it really saddens me that the Royal Mail have such little regard and respect for someone who has done an outstanding job for the past 20 years to be treated In Such a ruthless way . I would like to show my appreciation to him ,I know it's short notice but if anyone else in the village would like to contribute please let me know . Obviously I would want it to be open and transparent so if anyone has any suggestions on how we could do a collection for him please let me know .
Hi
Does anyone have any information on how long the road closure is on Woore Road at the junction with Sandy Lane/Bath Lane? Can't find any info anywhere on Cheshire East website or Audlem and the diversions we're taking are on single track narrow roads in order to access our home which are not ideal when you meet oncoming traffic.
Thanks
Shona
Hello Carol
If you could take a photograph(s) and forward to me at rachel.bailey@cheshireeast.gov.uk and as your local Cheshire East Councillor I will then seek action from Highways.
A issue recently reported to me in another location was addressed, so hopefully this will be repeated!!

The miscanthus or Elephant Grass growing at Tyrley and also many other places in a 15 mile radius of Raleigh Hall, Eccleshall goes to fuel a 2.6 MW generating plant there which is enough to supply all 2,600 homes in Eccleshall.
We are a new bereavement listening service based in Nantwich and we hope to be able to support bereaved residents of Audlem too. We are looking for people to train with us as volunteer listeners. We are being supported by Nantwich Town Council and End of Life Partnership. Contact insightsnantwich@hotmail.com for more details.
Thanks Chris, Now I can tell what O' clock it is through the night. I had noticed so good work & thank you
Regarding household hedges causing an construction on the footpath, I have tried to get the council to press for the clipping back of the conifer type trees on a particular bad bend between Chapel End and Audlem (near to where the garage used to be). I have seen a lady with a pram nearly run over by a car as it is too narrow for modern buggies. The farmers generally do a good job of cutting back hedges but many private residences seem to not care.
I'm looking for someone to fit a cat flap in a UPVC door. Can anyone help? (I live on Mckelvey Way)
Cheshire East Highways are responsible for enforcement but I've had no luck getting them to do anything for the last twelve years at least.
I have seen work being done on the footpaths along the main road North of Hankelow, but not sure who was doing it. Approach Parish council first? Which is Buerton for that stretch. The path has always been narrow-40 years ago I rode on the pavement with my two boys to Buerton school and scared myself silly-only did it once. Requested a 30 mph limit but the response then was it would be unenforceable.
I am looking for a reliable cheerful person to help around the house three mornings a week. Please contact if interested or know of anyone who might be. Audlem area. Thank you Elizabeth
May I add to this conversation that obstruction on the highway also causes nuisance to pedestrians.
We have recently moved to Buerton and regularly walk from Windmill Lane along the main Audlem Road to Longhill Lane and back home down Windmill Lane.
The footpath along the Audlem Road is dire. About 100 yards before the right turn into Longhilll Lane the hedges encroach over the whole of the footpath for about 50 yards which causes pedestrians to walk on the road on a blind bend with double white lines.
The heavy traffic, tractors, trailers, heavy goods vehicles are quite frightening and heaven forbid that this sort of traffic is approaching in opposite directions when we have to step off the footpath into the road! Stepping onto the road also occurs where vegetation nettles, brambles, weeds etc., are growing across the footpath too.
The whole of this section of footpath needs attention as most of the hedges and verges encroach onto the footpath to some degree and as boundary hedges are cut the cuttings are left on the footpath eventually breaking down and encroach further each season.
Apart from the above some areas of the footpath surfaces are dangerous – they have been repaired piecemeal and are very uneven and could easily cause a twisted ankle or worse to pedestrians.
Apologies for this rant, not sure who is responsible for ensuring that private owners cut their boundary hedges back to their actual property borders and clearing up the mess, or who is responsible for the state of the footpath surfaces or the excessive vegetation growing over the surfaces.
I can recommend Peter Blurton to service an Aga provided it is not an electric one., which he doesn't service. He is an ex Aga technician wry on his own. We have used him for some years – most helpful and reliable. Phone No. 07540-976874.
As above......Thanks Jessie! Keep them coming please. Priceless. ;-)
It could also have been a disabled driver looking for somewhere to park.
I would really appreciate it if anyone recommend a local aga engineer please for my aga.
