Woore Road Bridge Update

Just when you think that it's all over, it appears that there is still a problem with the bridge that has to be resolved by Cheshire East. As many of you will have noticed, the bridge still hasn't been repaired and the traffic lights are still in operation.

Audlem Parish Council has learnt that the saga goes on. Apparently, the blocks for the upper section of the bridge that were delivered to site were too small. They have had to be taken away and new ones will have to be made.

This means that the traffic lights will remain in place whilst Cheshire East awaits the manufacture and delivery of the new blocks. Then, once again, the road will have to be closed so that the blocks can be put in place. There is no indication of how long this will be.

Needless to say, the Parish Council will be taking the issue up with Cheshire East.
