Walks this weekend

A reminder that it's the September Short-ARS walk tomorrow, Saturday 25th September, starting from the main Audlem car park at 9.30 am. The walk will be led by Bob Cartwright.

A reminder also that's there's a Walk 4 Life charity walk from Overwater marina on Sunday this weekend. Click on the link for details below the photos.

Short-ARS walks are, of course, the monthly shorter routes organised by the Audlem Ramblers Society. Tomorrow's walk will be between five and six miles long and will start and finish at the Audlem car park, so no driving is involved.

The circuit will be to Hankelow, and will hopefully include some local paths which some on the walk may not used before, and which need to be walked occasionally to keep them open.

The route is through the village to Monks Lane, across to Sparrowy Spout and then up Longhill Lane to Hankelow. From Hankelow Village we go down to and across the Weaver, then back past Coole Hall and Monks Hall farms, before turning West to the canal and back along the towpath, past the new Overwater Marina, to the village.

And if you still have the energy after that, there's the charity walk on Sunday.
