Cheshire Police published this news yesterday following the incident Near The Bridge Inn last Friday:

The family of Adam Lovatt have released a tribute following his death on Friday 25th May.

They said: "Adam was a loving family man who will be sadly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him."

Shortly after 1am on Friday 25 May officers were called to reports of an incident outside the Bridge Inn, Shropshire Street, Audlem.

Officers attended the scene and a 45-year-old man was found with serious injuries and taken to the Royal Stoke hospital where Adam, sadly, later died of his injuries.

Four people have been arrested in connection with his death and inquiries are continuing.

A 23-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and released on police bail.

A 34-year-old local man has also been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and released under investigation.

A 44-year-old man from Shrewsbury has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and a 58-year-old woman from Shrewsbury has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. Both have been released under investigation.
