St James Newsletter 16th October

This Week Autumn has certainly arrived, and our school field is awash with beautiful autumn colours as the leaves on the trees begin to change. It’s a lovely time of year to enjoy the changing seasons outdoors!
A big thank you to everyone who attended our recent Parents’ Evening. We hope you found the opportunity to meet with staff helpful and informative.
We also enjoyed a special visit from Jacobs Pizza, which was a lovely addition to our week!
Our Year 1 and Year 2 outdoor play area has had a little refresh, with some lovely new bark added to help keep the area looking its best.
Meanwhile, our Year 6 pupils took part in a visit to Crucial Crew in Crewe this morning. Run by Child Safety Media, this important educational event helps prepare pupils for their transition to high school.
The children explored a range of topics, including personal and internet safety, staying safe in their wider environment and emotional wellbeing. They had a brilliant time engaging with the various activities and learning valuable skills to help keep themselves safe.
With just one more week to go until half-term, there is still plenty happening in school next week, including our Academy Photography who will be taking individual and sibling photographs.
Please take a moment to check the attached diary dates so you don’t miss any important events.
As the autumn weather becomes cooler and more unpredictable, please remember to send children into school with a suitable coat and a water bottle every day. Thank you, as always, for your continued support. We hope you all have a lovely weekend and look forward to another busy and exciting week ahead!
