St James Church competition winners

A sincere thank you to all the amateur artists and photographers who took part in the St James Church competitions. As you can see we awarded prizes to paintings by Howard Hilton (Judges choice) and Linda Hubbard (People's choice).

In the photographs well done to our gold and silver award winners Alan Draper (we promise the judging was done completely anonymously and impartially!) and Shaughna Warburton.

Twelve of the photos will be used in a 2019 calendar which will be sold in aid of the church repairs later in the year.

Thank you also to the professional artists who donated work to be sold in aid of the church repair fund. Thanks to all the helpers and to all of you who bought a piece of art or pottery.

We are still adding up final amounts but can report we have received over £1200 towards our appeal – the event has surpassed all expectations.
