Next Saturday (September 30th), the Short ARS walk will be a Ramble around Rode from Little Moreton Hall, leaving Audlem Car Park at 9.30 am.

The walk is just over 5 miles, flat walking across fields, quiet lanes and the Macclesfield canal, with views of Mow Cop at various points.

We will park at Little Moreton Hall car park CW12 4SD. There is no charge to park there but please display your National Trust membership card if you have one.

We will have a coffee stop en route and you may wish to bring a packed lunch to eat in the grounds of the Hall at the end of the walk or use the tearoom at the Hall. NT members can access the tearoom free of charge but non-members will need to pay the entrance fee

The Hall is open 11 am till 5pm and we can access the toilets next to the gift shop in the car park at the end of the walk.

NB All walkers must have suitable footwear and be prepared for adverse weather, carry food and water to last for the entire walk and be suitably fit for the various lengths of walk.

Each walk is led by a nominated leader who will carry some first-aid equipment. The leader has the right to refuse to include in a group anyone who is felt not be adequately equipped.

Walkers are expected to be members of ARS (Audlem Ramblers Society), but you are welcome to join us for a trial walk if you wish
