Probus Club Celebrates 20th Anniversary

March is the end of 20th Anniversary celebration year for Audlem and District Probus Club, which started in April 2015 and concludes in March this year.
To celebrate this occasion members and guests enjoyed a social evening of entertainment and memories from the 20 years.

A slideshow composed by Alvar Jones and narrated by Roland Hall illustrated the many and varied social activities the cub has undertaken and the strong Speaker programme which has been such a feature of its success. Scenes from past holidays, factory visits,social and games evenings over the years with many a hilarious tale to tell of lost walkers and Irish Limericks.

Canapes and wine were then taken with a chance to chat about the recollections members had of the last 20 years club activities.

Finally the star attractions arrived. Audlem Voices came on looking resplendent in their formal attire and treated us to a concert of favourite songs and medleys. The excellent accompanist Richard Lythall treated us to a wonderful rendering of "Bridge over Troubled waters" and Conductor jenny Collis-Smith led the choir to a wonderful evening's entertainment. Many thanks from our members and guests.
