Polish truck made more than welcome

When yet another Polish truck, and this HGV came with a massive trailer as well, arrived in the village yesterday, initial thoughts were 'how big can these trucks get and will it ever be able to drive up Stafford Street past the Church?' It did, however, and imagine the surprise when this turned out to be the eagerly awaited delivery of the new chairs ordered for the Public Hall. As a hastily assembled team helped the lone Polish driver to unload, he was asked where his next delivery was. "Where is Inverness?" he asked! Chairs unloaded, and refreshment provided, he was pointed in a northerly direction. He may just have arrived there by the time the chairs have their first public outing at the Valentine's Ball in the Public Hall on Saturday. It's a lonely life on the road delivering chairs to all of Europe.
