In case readers are concerned about whether the white parrot, or cockatoo, is getting anything to eat as it explores all corners of Audlem, we have received this photograph this morning from Heather Jones of the parrot gorging itself on the bird feeders in her garden to the west of the village.
A Sparrow Hawk also visits the gardens in that area – indeed it's been around at least twice already this morning – so the parrot is at some risk but may be too large a target.
We have been hoping that the owner of the parrot may have been following the many stories this week and claim back their pet. In the absence of that happening, we have been asked if anybody knows how the parrot may be caught and looked after.
