A parking offer for walkers

The problem

The Audlem Traders Group have noticed that occasionally quite large groups of hikers and walkers use the village car park on some mornings to park their vehicles for three or more hours while they enjoy the Audlem countryside. Particularly on Thursdays and Saturdays, this can sometimes aggravate the already difficult parking situation in the village, which then has a detrimental effect on village business.

A solution

The Shroppie Fly has given their kind permission for the Shroppie car park to be used between the hours of 8-12 as a walkers' car park facility to try to alleviate the lack of parking in the village.

Perhaps Audlem-based walking groups could usefully make use of this offer, and encourage other groups from outside Audlem to do the same.
