Audlem's Parish Plan team has received invitations to speak at conferences and to other councils since the Plan was published late last year. Presentations have already been made to Crewe & Nantwich Borough Council's Parish Conference, attended by Borough Council officers and councillors from parish councils across the Borough, and to the Society of Local Council Clerks in Chorley, Lancashire last week. Further invitations to speak to three town and parish councils in Cheshire have also been received.

While flattering to see that the Plan is being held up as an example of good practice, the conferences also give the Audlem team the opportunity to meet representatives from the fund-holding agencies that are so important if we are to attract the funds for some of the larger projects set out in the Audlem Parish Plan. Funding proposals for three projects are being submitted this week to Cheshire Community Council who bid for funding from Defra, the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.
