At the last Parish Coun cil meeting on Monday June 8th, the Parish Council decided to support Small Grant applications for two village organisations.
Kate Parkes and Monique Hollinshead are restarting the Audlem Youth Club. This will meet initially at the Baptist Church, but will eventually transfer to new premises when the Annexe to the Public Hall is up and running.
A request was made for a contribution of £300 towards the start-up costs of the Youth Club and the Parish Council voted unanimously to support the venture and added that they wished Kate and Monique every success in their project.
The two Public Information Display screens, one in the Post Office and one in Williams' Newsagents, have now been running for almost twelve months, the period for which the Parish Council gave its support initially.
The Parish Council felt that the screens were providing a useful service and voted to continue their support (at a cost of £120) for another twelve months.
The two TV monitors were funded by Cheshire East and the little magic boxes and the service that displays the information on them are provided by ThenMedia (the Audlem-based company which supports AudlemOnline).
