I wanted to share this information about the course we will be running in September:
New Skills New Volunteer – free training course for unemployed people.
Volunteering is a proven way to gain new skills, add to your CV and help to gain confidence.
CVS Cheshire East are offering a free training course to people who are unemployed, never been a volunteer and who would like to learn more about the types of volunteer roles available – volunteering is more than just charity shops!
There are many opportunities to gain new skills such as fundraising, working with older people, voluntary driving, social media, poster design, basic finance......the list goes on. Attendees will be helped to find a volunteer role to suit them.
The course will be 8 sessions over 4 weeks in Crewe, starting on Friday 6th September (10.00am -1.00pm), then every following Monday and Friday with the last session on Monday 30th September.
Travel expenses will be paid and lunch will be provided after each session. Places are limited so don't miss out!
