Advance notice that there are going to be road closures in Nantwich in the New Year to enable replacement of the main railway level crossing on Wellington Road.

"The closure is necessary to enable Network Rail to carry out Removal and renewal of the level crossing.
The alternative route will be via the following streets:- London Road, Newcastle Road, Roundabout A500 Cheerbrook, Nantwich Bypass, Nantwich Road Roundabout, Crewe Road, London Road Roundabout and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route.
It is anticipated that the works will be carried out between Saturday 5th January 2019 and Monday 14th January 2019
The closures will be in place between times 01:00- 06:00"
We understand that there will be full closure of the crossing for the weekends of 5-6 January and 12-13 January – with no access for vehicles, pedestrians or cyclists as well as the overnight road closures from 01:00-06:00 during the week days.
