Nantwich (potential) Gridlock

There are scheduled road works in the centre of Nantwich until 1st October.

The works around the two roundabouts out side Churches Mansion and The Veterinary Hospital mean there is a significant section of the through route which is closed, and is scheduled to be closed every day between 9:30am – 3:30pm today and tomorrow.

Traffic yesterday afternoon was at almost a complete standstill in the town centre – and as far out as Stapeley – long past the scheduled re=opening time of 3:30pm.

Readers might be advised to consider avoiding the area if possible.
