More on the buses

A few updates and comments following the bus timetable story earlier this week:

Phil Lloyd writes: "Having read the lead story about reductions to the bus service Nantwich – Audlem, I can't find any reference to a change on the relevant websites.

"Cheshire East Council and Traveline have downloadable timetables that show the 73 service from Nantwich still running at 17.05 and 18.05 (and in fact at 19.05 and 20.05) on weekdays. The GHA website seems to have "work in progress" on its timetables, as the details purporting to show the 73 service show times of services around Ruthin!

"I would share your correspondent's concern if services were to be reduced, but I am not sure his/her information is correct. You would think that any major timetable changes would have been notified in advance by the service providers, but this does not appear to have happened."

Val Mackin says: "Re the bus timetable – the times on the timetable in the Buttermarket are for buses that stop there, not other parts of The Square.

"As far as I know the bus times have not changed. I have spoken to Cheshire East and they are looking into it and hopefully we will get a full time table!"

If anyone has further information, we will happily report it. There have been occasions in the past when the website version and the displayed timetable have not been the same.
