The latest parrot update

For those following the progress of the white parrot photographed yesterday in Chris Hughes' garden in Daisy Bank Crescent, we have just received the following message at 8.30am from Pauline Epps:

"Parrot, or is it a Cockatoo, spotted making a low pass over Heathfield Road and swooping past a number of puzzled looking crows."

The parrot was involved last night in an battle with a crow when it tried to go for a drink at The Bridge Inn. Perhaps this morning it's celebrating yesterday's council planning decision to keep the field behind Heathfield Road as open countryside.
