Incident in central Audlem

There was a significant presence by the police this morning at the top end of the access road to Audlem Wharf.

Apparently a serious incident occurred early this morning,

AudlemOnline will publish more information as it comes to hand.

Meanwhile please report any relevant information to the Police.

This will inevitably affect some of the early preparations for the Festival, because of difficulty of access until the Police have finished their on-site investigations.

Cheshire Police have posted as a Rural Alert
"Traffic restrictions are currently in place on the A525 running through Audlem, between Green Lane and Stafford Street, as officers conduct enquiries into an ongoing investigation. Motorists are advised to find an alternative route if they can."
