(The website link that was here no longer works) When the Audlem branch of the Foresters ceased, all their records and regalia were left in the Public Hall. The History Society returned the records without copying because they seemed too confidential. The costume and badges were photographed and collected by Forester members from Crewe. At one of the History Society's exhibitions at the Carnival, displaying a photograph of a procession and a banner, Celia Bloor was told that the Foresters' banner was in the Public Hall garage.

It is splendidly illustrated and has the motto 'Help in Time of Need'. It is about 8ft square with colourful pictures on both sides and dates from the end of the 19th century. The Foresters in Crewe were not keen to come and collect it (although they do now have a museum) so all concerned thought it would be a good idea to keep it in the village and possibly display it. If it is not possible to put it in the Public Hall can anyone offer ideas of a location for it so that we can all enjoy it? Please contact Celia Bloor on 811260.
